The conference will focus on the diverse needs of persons dealing with a serious or chronic illness. GOCCNJ & NASW-NJ Advance Care Planning Certificate Program

Live virtual instruction will take place on October 18th from 9 am – 1 pm.

GOCCNJ in partnership with NASW-NJ has developed a certificate program for those new to these conversations and for seasoned professionals who would like a deeper understanding of the issue. This is the only certificate ACP course in NJ. Faculty includes: Dr. Dave Barile, Tracy Grafton, LCSW, ACHP-SW, Dr. Marianne Holler, and Laurie Powsner, MSW, LCSW.

The three-part program includes:

  • 2 CEU hours of pre-foundational reading
  • 4 CEU hours on-demand videos
  • 4 CEU hours of live instruction
  • for a total of 10 program hours

New Jersey American College of Physicians with support from GOCCNJ will be hosting a virtual meeting with 4 leading experts including Dr. David Barile, Dr. Amar Bukari, Dr. Biren Saraiya and Dr. Himabindu Lanka will teach the skills needed to open the conversation about documenting goals of care and will share best practices to improve care for the seriously ill or those nearing the end of life.
