Katherine Taylor, JD, PhDExecutive Board Member

Katherine Taylor is a lawyer and bioethicist who teaches health care ethics at Drexel University, and is the co-chair of the ethics committee at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center. She hails from Texas, and practiced health care law in Houston and in Washington, DC for eight years before beginning graduate work in bioethics.

She first represented hospitals, physicians and nurses in malpractice lawsuits, then advised clients on matters before Congress, and before federal agencies such as FDA, HHS and HCFA. During graduate school, she also served on the staff of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Human Radiation Experiments, in 1994-1996.

She received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, and studied bioethics at Georgetown University, finishing her PhD in 2006. She lives in Princeton with her husband and daughters.
