Christopher Bolich, DO, FACOI

Christopher Bolich, DO, FACOIExecutive Board Member

Dr. Bolich is AtlantiCare’s Medical Director, Palliative Care. He is board certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Internists. He is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University and earned his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed his internship and residency, serving as Chief Resident. Home care is how Dr. Bolich became interested in palliative care. After medical school, he became a house call doctor, seeing his patients mostly in their homes. He realized people who need medical help the most are often unable to get it, since they are homebound. He was determined to help change that and make a positive difference for those with limited access to routine care. But house calls are physically demanding. When he decided to establish a more traditional practice, his nearly 15 years’ working with the most severely ill led him to refocus on palliative care. Prior to AtlantiCare, Dr. Bolich was Head of Palliative Medicine at Cooper University Health Care, Camden, where he was an Instructor of Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. He lives in Egg Harbor Township with his wife and two dogs.
