Sage is the Director of Palliative Care Services for Hackensack Meridian Health’s central and southern markets. She completed her undergraduate studies at The Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health with her Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology. At Columbia, Sage was awarded the Anna C. Gelman Award for excellence in epidemiology, high academic distinction, and the potential for significant contributions to the field of public health. Sage completed her practicum at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and has a special interest in oncology. Sage joined Hackensack Meridian in 2012 and has worked to grow Palliative Care Services as well as to improve quality, outcomes, satisfaction, and efficiency, while decreasing variation and cost. Sage oversees palliative care across hospitals, sub-acute and long term care facilities, several outpatient practices, and a large home-based program. The program was awarded a Circle of Life Citation of Honor in 2016 by the American Hospital Association. She also co-chairs the Hackensack Meridian Care for Patients with Serious Illness Council. Sage completed her Master’s in Business Administration in 2019 as part of a Hackensack Meridian Health Monmouth University executive cohort where she was awarded membership to Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS). BGS recognizes and honors the top 20% of graduate students from around the world in business schools accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Additionally, Sage is a Fellow of the New Jersey Healthcare Leadership Academy and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
