Yvette Vieira is Senior Manager for Palliative Care and Healthcare Ethics at Atlantic Health System, where she leads systemwide strategies integrating ethics consultation, palliative care, and interdisciplinary education. She designed and manages the Atlantic Health Medical aid in Dying program. Certified by the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities as a Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C), she brings more than a decade of experience in bioethics, medical humanities, and end-of-life care. Yvette also serves as adjunct professor and practicum liaison for Drew University’s Medical and Health Humanities Program. She received her Doctorate in Medical Humanities with distinction in December 2025. Her research explored the lived experiences of interdisciplinary team members supporting patients through end-of-life and medical aid-in-dying care, emphasizing moral experience, relational ethics, and collaborative practice. She serves on the Medical Society of New Jersey’s Bioethics Committee, and the Academy of Aid-in-Dying Medicine’s Ethics Consultation service. She is also a board member with NJ Death with Dignity and the NJ Goals of Care Coalition.
